United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Fellow (2022–2023)
Selected as a Canadian delegate for UNAOC’s intercultural exchange fellowship, bringing together 14 global emerging leaders from the MENA and EUNA regions. Focused on the theme “Countering racism and discrimination: the nexus to building pluralistic and diverse societies”, the fellowship fosters intercultural exchange and interfaith understanding through engagement with young civil society leaders. Participated in the UNAOC 9th Annual Global Forum in Fez, Morocco, and visited Helsinki, Finland, and the UN headquarters in Geneva to meet with leaders of UN and UN-adjacent agencies to explore fellowship themes.
EU Global Cultural Relations Programme Fellow (2022)
Selected as the Canadian delegate for the EU’s Global Cultural Relations Programme in Istanbul, connecting 40 cultural and creative professionals worldwide across sectors including performing arts, music, audiovisual, cultural heritage, and visual arts. The fellowship fosters peer-to-peer learning, cross-cultural collaboration, and global networking, enabling participants to engage in meaningful international cultural relations.
CanStudyUS Fellow, Toronto Metropolitan University (2022)
Selected as a fellow for TMU’s CanStudyUS Home and Away program, culminating in a week-long immersive study trip to Washington, DC. Engaged with U.S. leaders, think tank experts, civil servants, and academics to gain firsthand insights into public policy and U.S.-Canada relations.
University of Guelph Policy Fellowship (2022)
Invited as one of three industry professionals to inaugural University of Guelph's Policy Fellowship focused on circular economy and implementation science. Participated alongside 20 academics and scholars from across Canada, engaging in multidisciplinary learning and applied problem-solving.
Firelight Campaign School, Organize BC (2018)
Selected to join a province-wide cohort of progressive organizers for advanced training, coaching, and network-building. Strengthened campaign strategy, leadership, and cross-movement collaboration alongside artists, migrant justice organizers, educators, labour and climate justice leaders, and Indigenous organizers.
The Tyee, Board Member & Treasurer (2021–Current)
Invited as a founding board member of The Tyee, BC’s leading independent online news magazine. Serve as Treasurer and chair the HR Committee, overseeing executive recruitment strategy, succession planning, and board skills gap analysis. Recruited diverse board candidates and strengthened governance frameworks aligned with equity values to enhance organizational capacity and impact.
Vancouver Public Library, Board of Trustees (2022-2023)
Oversaw a $58M budget for BC’s largest public library system, serving 6.5M annual visits across 21 branches. Served on the Services, Finance & HR Committee, guiding HR, digital services, and equity policies. Advocated for provincial policy changes to improve board diversity through the British Columbia Library Trustees Association (BCLTA) and initiated trustee educational training with VPL and InterLink addressing major eBook financial and copyright challenges impacting libraries across North America.
Chinatown Together, Board President (2024–2025)
Formed the initial board of the Chinatown Together Arts and Culture Society. Oversaw the transition of the initiative housed in a sponsoring non-profit to becoming an independent organization. Led the founding board and team as governance, fundraising, and administrative leadership.
Univeristy Transition Program Alumni Society, Board Member (2023-Current)
Founding board member of the alumni society for my high school alma mater, the University Transition Program, an accelerated secondary school program for gifted students jointly operated by the BC Ministry of Education, University of British Columbia, and the Vancouver School Board.

A board member overseeing the governance of a Vancouver theatre company producing socially and intellectually engaged performances. Involved in strategic planning for the organization.
